Are you looking for something to spice up your life? Maybe something that makes you look a little younger or shapelier? If so, you may want to consider having a breast lift.
A breast lift, or mastopexy, removes excess skin surrounding the breasts, tightening the surrounding tissue and resulting in a firmer and more youthful appearance.
Why should you get a breast lift?
A breast lift can counter the changes in firmness and changes in one’s breasts. Dysmorphia in breast shape can result from one or more of the following reasons:
- Pregnancy
- Weight Fluctuations
- Breast Feeding
- Aging
- Ptosis (gravitational effects on breasts)
- Heredity
What happens during a breast lift?
After your breasts are examined, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your doctor the exact surgical plan that will get you the results you want.
Surgery will only take two to three hours and you will be injected with an intravenous anesthesia to provide an easy and gentle process. We will then excise the excess skin and join the remaining skin together to help reshape the breasts.
Pain medications and antibiotics are generally prescribed immediately following the surgery to ease your recovery and help prevent the chance of infection. After one week, you will return to the our office to remove your sutures and by then you should be able to resume your typical work schedule.
While most of the world seems to be catching up on the benefits of breast lifts (which have grown by 70% since 2000), the decision of whether to get a breast lift is still up to you. If you want to improve your body and your life, do not hesitate to schedule an appointment with us today!
