Initial Consultation | First Visit to Lawton Plastic Surgery

At the initial consultation, your health history will be reviewed and the procedures you are interested in will be explained in great detail. Any alternative procedures, as well as the risks and benefits of surgery, will be discussed. You will view before and after photographs, and all of your questions will be answered.

During the examination, the particular part of your body that you are interested in changing will be evaluated. You will have the opportunity to point out the characteristics of your anatomy that you would like to improve. After an extensive discussion, you and Dr. Lawton will arrive at the surgical plan that will best achieve your goals. It is our commitment that you leave this initial visit with a clear understanding of your surgical options, so you may make an informed decision. We are happy to answer any questions you may think of later by telephoneemail, or at another private consultation. There is never an additional charge for these subsequent visits. Plastic surgery is safe and effective only when it is conducted by a board-certified surgeon that has the right training, certification, education, experience, equipment, skills, and expertise. In addition, the anesthesiologist should also be board-certified and not a CRNA.

The patient coordinator will provide you with a fee quote that will cover the surgeon’s fees, anesthesiologist’s fees, operating room costs, implants (if needed), laboratory tests, surgical vitamins, and all follow-up visits. You will then have an opportunity to discuss with the patient care coordinator, who is responsible for surgery scheduling, the logistics, costs, timing and financing. You can call back at a later date to schedule your surgery, or set the surgery up when you first meet with the coordinator.  It is always up to you and we do not pressure our patients to scheduling with incentives or “day of consult” discounts.
